Connecting Little River was about creating a series of “paths” trough the new master plan that brings you the a center point which in this case is our Cultural Center. Located next to a park, that we used to mirror the design of the Cultural Center’s patio; we also envisioned the creation of different zones for circulation, we have pedestrian paths which run along the new commercial centers, these paths serve for seating, and bicycle paths. We also a buffering system for the railroad tracks, using vegetation and seating areas to avoid people from crossing the railroad tracks. Lastly, to avoid high vehicular traffic around what is considered a place for children, we created parking garages at around 100’ from the Center Point, to promote the use of the new pedestrian paths.
