The first part of the process consist in analyzing the shotgun house by means of a dissection of its parts, these being circulation, guest spaces, utility spaces and main spaces after this the next step in the process becomes about creating iterations of the shotgun house by the addition of main spaces, these being mostly bedrooms, we created more iterations by folding the straight line scheme of the shotgun in x, y and z axes. After this the process moved to the stacking of some of these different iterations resulting in a composition were the negative space turns into the ideal condition for common areas were we expect to see the phenomena of community life between customers in the retail areas and the residents in the residential portion of the project. The condition of a corner provoked me towards articulating the scheme in a way in which not only the best possible advantage could be taken from the site but also create an urban gesture, one of movement, continuity.
